Overview

The Teltonika IoT Network Architecture deployed by Enterprise Systems Australia consists of three interconnected layers. At the base, BLE beacons and sensors (EYE Beacon, temperature/humidity sensors, magnetic/movement detectors, asset beacons, and custom third-party BLE devices) broadcast continuously using iBeacon, Eddystone, and Teltonika EYE protocols within a 10–80 metre range.

The middle layer comprises FMM gateway trackers (FMM880 and FMM230) that scan for and collect beacon data, aggregate sensor readings, and transmit everything to the cloud via LTE 4G Cat M1 or NB-IoT cellular connectivity. The top layer is the cloud platform — FOTA WEB for firmware management, ES Tracking for universal telematics, ES Tracking for fleet tracking, and ES TMS for transport management — where data is stored, processed, and made available to ES ERP.

📡 Network Layers

☁️ Cloud / Platform Layer

Cloud servers running FOTA WEB (firmware over-the-air management), ES Tracking (universal telematics platform and API), ES Tracking (fleet tracking and management), and ES TMS (transport management system). Receives aggregated data from FMM devices via LTE cellular uplink. Provides fleet management dashboards, data storage, analytics, and remote firmware updates for all field devices.

📡 FMM Gateway / Tracker Layer

FMM880 — Advanced asset tracker with IP65 waterproof rating, dual-band GNSS (L1+L5), BLE scanner, and BLE gateway functionality. FMM230 — Rugged vehicle/asset tracker (IP67) with flexible I/O, BLE scanner, and BLE gateway. Both models scan for beacons, collect sensor data, and transmit to cloud via LTE 4G Cat M1 or NB-IoT.

🔔 Beacon / Sensor Layer

Five beacon types: EYE Beacon (ID broadcast, presence detection), Temperature & Humidity Sensor (multi-parameter EYE Sensor), Magnetic/Movement Beacon (state and motion/tilt detection), Asset Beacon (iBeacon format with UUID), and Custom BLE Sensor (third-party/proprietary with configurable advertisement payloads). Multiple beacons per FMM device, 10–80m BLE range.
