Overview
The Maintenance Task Parts & Procurement feature provides a fully integrated workflow connecting maintenance tasks to inventory items, supplier pricing, and automated purchase order creation — built directly inside ES ERP. When a maintenance task is created (such as a 20-step Articulating Boom Lift checklist), technicians add required parts from a structured child table. The system automatically calculates delivery dates from lead times, resolves the default supplier, and generates a complete Purchase Order in a single click.

🔩 Task Item Child Table
A new custom DocType Task Item added as a child table to the Task form, providing a structured grid for recording all parts and consumables required for a maintenance job.
Custom DocType📅 Lead Time Auto-Calculation
When an item is selected, the Required By date is automatically calculated as today's date plus the item's configured lead time in days — no manual entry needed.
Automated🏭 Supplier Auto-Population
The task supplier field auto-fills from the Item Defaults → Default Supplier setting on the first item added, while respecting any manual override already in place.
Client Script📋 One-Click Purchase Order
A Create Purchase Order button on the Task form generates a fully populated PO — supplier, all line items, quantities, UOMs, per-line schedule dates, and warehouse — in a single click.
Purchasing📦 9 Maintenance Items Created
A complete set of consumable stock items created for Articulating Boom Lift maintenance: hydraulic fluid, engine oil, coolant, battery spray, tyre gauge, safety harness, outrigger pads, grease cartridges, and grease gun.
Stock Items💲 Buy Price List
Default buy prices established on the Access Group Buy Price list in AUD, linked to Supplier One, covering all 9 items with realistic Australian trade pricing.
Buying💰 Sell Price List (any Margin)
Corresponding sell prices on the Access Group Sell Price list, calculated at any above buy price for consistent gross margin across all maintenance consumables.
Selling⚙️ Item Defaults Configured
All 9 items have Item Defaults set for Access Group company: default supplier, default warehouse (Stores - AG), ensuring clean purchase and stock transaction behaviour.
